Marketing yourSelf
PumpOne is working hard to promote and market PumpOne digital trainers by advertising campaigns, employing public relations, search engine marketing and retail box sales. Now that we have combined www.PumpOne.com & www.youPump.com consumers can find Pro member's online stores and choose from a much wider array of digital trainers. We're doing our part to get consumers excited, now it's your turn. Here are some very quick and easy steps you can take to increase your business both with your current clients and also to help you add new ones: Your Online Store Your online store is one of the first things people see. Therefore it is very important to have it complete & looking the best it can. This means "Personalizing" it with your picture, bio and programs. Getting Set Up Putting a face to the name makes all the difference, so having a good picture on your store is essential. You can email us your picture and we will format it and add to your store. Acceptable formats are JPEG, PSD or TIFF with a minimum size of 150 dpi. If you also have a logo that you would like incorporated into your picture please send that too. To go with the face you will need some information about yourself. We have made adding this information very easy. All you have to do is go to www.youpump.com/bio.html log-in and enter all you info. You can change this at any time or as many times as you like just by logging back in. Don't forget to hit "submit" each time. Adding Programs Your store is obviously where you sell your programs. But if you have no programs in your store, you can't sell anything and therefore you can't make money. We have developed this amazing "drag & drop" tool FitnessBuilder to make it extremely easy to make programs. When making programs be sure to fill in all the information in the program details page. Also be sure to make your programs as unique as possible. We are seeing a lot of generic programs been added such as "Mens Strength 1" or "Abs & Core Training". While it is great to have generic type programs on your store, it may take some time before people find these and start purchasing. Your lowest hanging fruit, so to speak, are your current clients, your family & friends. Making specific programs for these people will probably be the quickest & easiest way to generate initial sales. We will discuss promoting to your clients etc. in the next segment. One last note on programs - Pricing. As the trainer designing the program, you decide on the price. We do have recommended minimums of $20 per program containing up to 3 workouts. For each additional workout we suggest adding at least $5 per. Therefore if you have a program containing 5 workouts the suggested price would be $30. You can charge what you like but be conscious not to price too low or too high. |

Your Clients These are people who have probably trained with you for some time. They know and trust you as a trainer. They listen to what you tell them and will most likely do what you tell them. They would all probably like to train with you more often if time and finances permitted. Well now they can with your custom designed programs. Your current clients are a great, if not the best source for getting your online business up & running. How many times has a client asked you what exercises they should do on their off days, or what type of cardio is best or for you to show them some quick ab exercises they can do at home. Now you can provide clients with extra workouts for when they are not working with you. Whether they are going away on vacation or for business or they just want that extra day of training. And remember they don't have to own an iPod or other handheld to use it. They can always print out or view the workout on their computer. You can market your digital trainers in many ways to clients. Clients that travel Instead of giving out a written program, now you've got a much better way. Make it easy for them to stay on track and not feel so bad about eating unhealthy plane food or having one too many client dinners. Clients with schedule conflicts A lot of clients have very busy work schedules and have difficultly finding regular times to work with you. Now they can get your workouts the same as if they were able to meet up with you. Clients that need more training On the days you don't train together provide them with extra training expertise at a very affordable price. You can create your own 4th & 5th day workouts so you can make sure that they are getting the most benefit. Clients at the end of a personal training package If they can no longer afford training give them another option. Continue to train together via digital training or combine a current training package with digital training. Clients that cannot afford personal training If they cannot afford one-on-one personal training that's okay because now there's a whole new affordable way for you to train them. Digital Training. Those who find your store from the Find-A-Trainer search engine. Consumers shop using all kinds of search keywords to help them find the products they're looking for. The best way to make sure they find YOUR programs is to use common sense words in your product titles, subtitles & descriptions. Family, Friends & Colleagues Just like clients, your family, friends and colleagues trust your knowledge as a trainer. And just like your clients they are probably constantly asking you for advice on how to get in shape. They all want a program they can follow but may not be able to schedule with you for many reasons. Again this is a great opportunity to provide them with digital training. It is very affordable way for them to take you wherever they go. |

Your Existing Website The fitness business is becoming more & more technology based and having a website is fast becoming an essential aspect of the business. If you've already have a website that's great. You're already getting the word out there about yourself, your training philosophy and how people can contact you. Now you can also promote your PumpOne online store on your existing site. We have created a number of banners and links you can add to your site that will drive your traffic directly to your store. Choose from the banners at the end of the page to place on your web pages. Make sure to add links on multiple pages including your homepage and a "Services" page if you have one. Other great tools on most websites are blogs and newsletters. Post a blog about online training to get the discussion started and then you can talk about your online services. Promoting youPump Have you ever wondered how a relatively unknown product suddenly explodes to become a worldwide phenomenon overnight? Think Tae-Bo or Spinning as two great examples.
